  1. A Messianic Commentary: Yochanan (John) Presents the Revelation of Yeshua the Messiah - by Rabbi Gavriel Lumbroso

A Messianic Commentary: Yochanan (John) Presents the Revelation of Yeshua the Messiah - by Rabbi Gavriel Lumbroso

    $19.99

“Reading Revelation through genuine Jewish eyes is like watching TV in color for the first time.” The Book of Revelation is perhaps the most mysterious, difficult-to-understand book in all of the Bible. Scholar after scholar, theologian after theologian have wrestled with all the strange visions, images and messages given by Yochanan (John), one of Yeshua’s apostles. This book has been seen as prophecy, poetry or both. It’s been looked at as a book that reveals the precise time of Messiah’s return to Earth and it’s also been understood to be talking solely about the historical events of the day, the last part of the first century C.E. Because of the difficulty in getting an accurate understanding of what this critical book is all about, most people have shied away from reading it. Until now! Gavrel Lumbroso has come to the rescue. As a Messianic Jewish rabbi, who has written and taught extensively on the Jewish background of the Faith in Yeshua (Jesus), we have hope. By imagining what was in Yochahan’s mind as he interacted with the words of the Master, Messiah Yeshua, Rabbi Lumbroso has opened up the Book of the Revelation for perhaps the first time since the words were spoken to Yochanan. 2. Petrified Hearts Book 3, The Beckoning by Jaclyn Zant

Petrified Hearts Book 3, The Beckoning by Jaclyn Zant

    $26.99

"No, me do it!" insists the toddler when we try to help. Early on we insist on our independence and, like the toddler, we have our own ideas about what will make us happy. But God has a way of shining His light on our misconceptions and revealing our need for Him. Andrea had an argument with Joel, and then Joel argued with Sid. Just when you feel like a situation is beyond salvaging, God steps in. But does he step in in a way you expect? Ever since she flew the Rabbi to Tennessee, it seemed to Rae that everyone around her was determined to press her to forgave the unforgivable, dredging up memories she'd tried so hard to run from all these months, along with the angst that came with them. But now-finally-it seems like they're leaving it alone-until Heath brings it up-again! -and then Orby! Why are they so insistent that she deal with this right now? Yes, God doesn't want us to spend even one moment longer away from him than we need-but when He presses in with such urgency, could it be there is more to it than just our reconciliation with Him? Could it also be there is something up around that bend that, in His mercy, He doesn't want us to go through alone-even despite our rebellion? Learn More
  3. Petrified Hearts Book 2: The Contending by Jaclyn Zant

Petrified Hearts Book 2: The Contending by Jaclyn Zant

    $24.99

Book 2 in the novel series. We as Believers want to fight the good fight (1Tim. 6:12); we want to contend for out faith (Jude 1:3) and to stand firm for God. But as a wave crashing against the rocks, we may find ourselves contending against God-knowingly or unknowingly. At times, in our zeal for Him we resist His tugs in our heart, tenaciously clinging to what we know is good-not realizing God's desire is to exchange that good for something better. Still, other times, eclipsed by the storm clouds of our circumstances, our concepts of God's goodness and mercy are challenged-and we don't understand. So we resist Him-warring within, and kick against those goads that would prod us back into his embrace. In God's immeasurable Love, His intentions for us are good-and His purposes for us are always and ever for our good. But when He is momentarily concealed, will we choose to still believe this? God is truly merciful, but His mercies can be tender or severe-and just as the wave stirred by the storm, will we break against The Rock, or draw near and bow before it? Learn More

  13. The Acts of the Emissaries

    The Acts of the Emissaries

    $19.95

First Century C.E./A.D. Messianic Jewish Believers in the Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) turned the world upside down. This is so potently portrayed in author Luke’s 18,374 words that the book has come to be known as The Acts of the Apostles (Emissaries). Luke was a physician, a careful historian, and showed a deep knowledge about Jewish laws and customs in the land of Israel and the Temple. His recording of the Spirit-filled birth and explosive growth of Messianic Judaism is divided in half: chapters 1-12 focus on Kefa (Peter) in Jewish regions, while chapters 13-28 concern themselves with Sha’ul (Paul) in largely Gentile regions. The known world of the First Century was not turned upside down because Yeshua-followers all believed the same thing. The inclusion of Gentiles in the plan of God and how both Jewish and Gentile Believers were to work out questions of their identity and relationship to one another in a pagan world — with opposing claims from both Jewish and Roman leadership — sparked much debate, conflict, and controversy about faith and practice. Even amidst imprisonments, rioting and personality conflicts, Dr. Luke details the influence of Ruach Hakodesh (the Holy Spirit) in all of this. In short, the faith of these early Yeshua-followers was demonstrated daily in tangible, practical ways. They fed the hungry, healed the sick, clothed the naked, invited strangers into their homes, visited prisoners, etc… Truly, when the world around them looked closely at those who said they believed the claims to deity and of messiahship from an obscure Jewish teacher from a backwater of the empire, their lives were different. The declaration of their faith wasn’t solely with words but with actions. The “Good News” was something which could be seen, felt and experienced … and the world had never seen anything like it. So radically different were those who followed this Yeshua, this Messiah (“Christ,”) that they were called the “Christ-like Ones,” or “Christians.” In the First Century, this word was understood in a biblical/Jewish context. Thus, for a Jew or Gentile to be called a Christian was connecting oneself very specifically to an active Jewish faith which recognized Yeshua as the promised/prophesied Messiah and Savior/Redeemer for Israel and the nations. Unfortunately, by the Third Century, the word Christian had completely lost its original Jewish understanding or context. Even today, the word Christian, though an endearing title to many, carries a hugely negative connotation for those of Hebrew descent and no longer effectively defines Jewish followers of Yeshua, who much prefer to be regarded as Messianic Jews. For over 40 years, Believers of Jewish descent in the Messiah have been congregating in hundreds of communities worldwide in response to the call of Ruach Hakodesh, believing it’s time to set the record straight concerning the Jewish Messiah. This book consists of a collection of my Shabbat (Sabbath) sermons based on the Book of Acts prepared and delivered to my faith community, Tree of Life, a Messianic Jewish congregation in San Diego, California several years ago. I do not consider this work by any means to be a complete exegetical commentary or a comprehensive academic analysis. Instead, this is a compilation of practical messages whose intended audience is Messianic Believers (Jewish or otherwise), and anyone curious about a Messianic Jewish perspective on Acts. Learn More
